Online Training- The Camp TC has a brand-new APP called The Camp on Demand. It is an all-in-one fitness resource for our members. The app has a Library of workout videos for members to use on the go or when they can’t make it into the location, so they never have to miss a day. Messaging tools allow communication with trainers. Trainers can provide feedback on workouts, personalization and help create weekly plans to help members reach their goals. It’s like having a trainer in your pocket.
Wearable Technology – The Camp on Demand APP integrates with the Apple Watch and will soon connect with MyZone as well. Giving you the ability to track workouts, caloric burn, sleep, steps, and more. Wearable technology continues to be a top trend in fitness and The Camp will continue to evolve to meet the needs of our consumers.
Bodyweight Training – The Camp has been using bodyweight training since our inception 11 years ago and we aren’t about to stop now. We understand the benefits of learning to move our own body through space. With a focus on regressions and progressions (ways to make the movements easier or harder) based on your fitness level The Camp allows you to push yourself on your 1st day as well as your 500th day. This is important to our business model because it makes our brand accessible to everyone vastly expanding our potential client base.
Outdoor Activities – The Camp TC loves motivating our members and a little sunshine and outdoor fun is sometimes just what they need. As most of our locations are built with easy access to outdoor space (either parking lots or outdoor space with turf) we can include getting outside into many of our classes. We also encourage Camp locations to organize hikes, register teams for mud runs, 5k’s, and many other team building activities. Clubs that do this typically see higher retention and referral rates. We understand the importance of getting outside and appreciate that sometimes it’s better with friends.
High-intensity Interval Training – At The Camp HIIT training is our bread and butter. We build this into every single workout. HIIT training burns more calories in a shorter period of time, helps retain muscle during weight loss, elevates our metabolism for hours after the workout, reduces heart rate and blood pressure, increases fat loss, improves oxygen consumption, and finally reduces blood sugar. This type of training is how our members have been able to lose 20lb, 40lb, 60lb, or even 100lbs or more. Results based training drives revenue and increases referrals. No wonder this is built into the DNA of The Camp.
Virtual Training – This is the first time virtual training has appeared on the top 10 trends list and The Camp’s new APP helps franchise owners capitalize on this immediately. With our meal guides, food logs, macro counter, video library, and direct messaging tools Camp clients have almost instantaneous access to trainers, staff, and other members. The APP allows for complete customization of an exercise program to meet the clients’ needs no matter what their schedule looks like. There is no excuse for a potential client to not sign up as their in-club workouts can be supplemented with virtual training sessions and added trainer accountability. This will help members reach their goals and drive retention.
Exercise Is Medicine – This is really one of the founding principles of The Camp and is evident in our mission statement “To improve lives through health & fitness.” Honestly, we know that exercise is important, but the truth of it is that the workout is the easiest part. We recognized a long time ago that members need motivation, support, accountability, and a results-based program if we are going to earn and keep their business. The Camp business model was built with these intentions in mind and Americans are growing increasingly aware of the importance of achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight. The Camp is the only nationally franchised fitness brand focused on this specific niche. We are the industry leader in body transformation and will continue to maintain that position for years to come.
Training With Free Weights – The Camp has always understood the importance of incorporating free weights into programming. All of our boot camp workouts include body resistance training, plyometrics, cardio, and free weights. This way we can build lean muscle while reducing body fat. Free weight training increases bone density as well. By building lean muscle we increase our metabolism as well.
Fitness Programs for Older Adults – While The Camp is not specifically geared toward older adults our approach of having nationally certified trainers run our classes means that we can adapt them to anyone no matter their age or fitness level. This allows us to personalize the workouts to everyone. Our HIIT training offers the benefits of an increased and more efficient cardiovascular system: decreased blood pressure, heart rate, and reducing fat within the body. Our free weight training will help build strong bones and muscles.
Personal Training – The Camp understands the importance of personal training and creating a path for members to have a true fitness journey. While many start off as challengers looking to lose weight, build healthy habits, and make exercise part of their daily routine. Many will look to build upon this foundation. By offering Elite Training members can continue to explore new training techniques, new programming, set & achieve new goals, and reinforce their new healthy lifestyle. For a franchise owner this leads to increased revenue, decreased attrition, and increased employee retention (trainers find value in being such an integral part of members’ fitness journey).
As you can see The Camp TC has a well thought out business model that allows us to adapt to new industry trends while remaining true to our founding principles. The brand will continue to evolve with the industry to meet our members needs and ensure that we are able to empower our communities through health & fitness for many years to come.
