From Camp Trainer to Franchise Owner: Rudy Bernal’s Next Chapter

Some franchise owners discover The Camp as members. Others discover their opportunity by helping lead it.

For Rudy Bernal, the journey began on the gym floor as a trainer at The Camp Rancho Cucamonga.

What started as a role helping members transform their lives became a career path that would eventually lead him into franchise ownership.

Today, Rudy and his father, Anthony Bernal, have been awarded a new The Camp Transformation Center franchise in Rancho Cucamonga.

From Trainer to Camp Director

Rudy’s experience with The Camp didn’t stop at personal training.

He advanced into a leadership role as Camp Director in Riverside, where he spent four years gaining firsthand experience with the people, operations, and community that make The Camp Experience unique.

That journey gave him a perspective many aspiring franchise owners hope to develop: understanding the business from the inside before stepping into ownership.

Now, alongside his father Anthony, Rudy is taking that next step.

A Franchise That Develops Future Owners

Rudy’s story is part of something bigger.

Twelve former Camp Directors have now become franchise owners, demonstrating how leadership experience within The Camp can develop into an opportunity for entrepreneurship.

For prospective owners, this highlights an important characteristic of The Camp franchise system: the people who help operate the business can also become the people who invest in its future.

It’s another example of a brand built around transformation, leadership, and opportunity.

From Leadership to Ownership

Rudy and Anthony’s new Rancho Cucamonga franchise represents more than another location awarded.

It’s a father-and-son partnership built on firsthand experience, a shared commitment, and the opportunity to bring The Camp’s mission to more people.

From training members to leading a Camp—and now owning one—Rudy’s journey shows how far a passion for transformation can go.
