5 Tips to Run A Top 25 Camp Location

As a franchise owner with The Camp Transformation Center you have to be willing to become the CEO of your own business. The good news is that we make it easy. With a proven business model and established systems in place success is just a matter of “FTDI” Following The Damn Instructions. If you’re passionate about fitness, love the brand, and can follow directions you too can be a successful business owner.

This past week we caught up with Emma Torres who runs one of our top performing locations The Camp Oceanside and she gave us some tips that all new owners should follow in order to have a successful Camp location and earn a spot in our coveted Top 25 clubs.

Emma’s Tips:

  1. Passion, Purpose, Sacrifice – Why do you want to own a Camp location? What are your goals? What are you willing to do in order to achieve those goals?
  1. Build Your Team – This is an important part of setting your club up for success from day one. Seek out individuals who love fitness, helping others, and a passion to serve. This is going to ensure great customer service and an exceptional member experience. Be patient and take the time to train your staff.
  1. Community – Building a welcoming and supportive community is a must. Every person who walks through your doors must feel comfortable working out in your club. They need to feel like they belong and are family. All members should feel as though they can be successful in achieving their goals and that your team genuinely cares about helping them achieve those goals.
  1. Organization – Plan your goals. Your team and your location can’t be successful without clearly defined goals, a path to get there, and established benchmarks and tasks to keep them on that path. Connect, educate and coach.
  1. Consistency – Is important in everything you do from your team to your clients to the execution of day to day tasks. Take the time to train and educate your team so that they can be successful. Quick check-ins with them before or after a shift can help increase communication and ensure nothing is missed.

BONUS: Have Fun & Execute: You have to drink the Kool-aid. What we mean is you should actively participate in your AFF (Awesome Fit Fam) workout at your club, attend the community events inside and outside of your location. Have fun, smile, and enjoy the thrill of being a franchise owner with The Camp.
